At the core of the 55mm Road Disc SL is a next-generation rim built with T1000 aerospace-grade carbon fibre, a material reserved for the most demanding applications. This results in massive 140J impact strength, overbuilt for real-world riding conditions, an ultra-light 400g rim weight, and a ride quality that feels both precise and unshakably solid.
A subtle but powerful advantage is the 2.5mm rim offset. This design equalises spoke tension between drive and non-drive sides, creating a wheel that is stronger under load, more laterally stiff, and more responsive when accelerating. The Grade 54 hubs feature a straight pull design for increased strength and improved wheel stiffness, while the 54-tooth ratchet drive distributes load evenly across large, interlocking surfaces for exceptional durability under high torque.
