The Scratch NDR PAS is an off-road evolution of the established Scratch M5 saddle, designed for high performance and comfort.
Scratch NDR PAS is the open version of the iconic ergonomic T-shaped saddle designed specifically for XC mountain biking, but also suitable for gravel and road cycling. Lightweight, comfortable, and high-performing, this saddle has racing DNA, created to compete and win in Cross Country and Marathon races at the highest levels.
The anatomical shape of the new Scratch NDR PAS (250 x 140 mm) has been redesigned for off-road use, with the “anatomical center” moved 5 mm backward to increase the rider's freedom of movement and enhance pedaling performance in the rearward position—typical during long climbs. The round anatomical shape provides extra lumbar support, helping maintain a stable position even for those with limited pelvic mobility.
The PAS (Perineal Area System) features a wider relief channel that reduces compression of soft tissues, tendons, and blood vessels, ensuring proper blood circulation.
The Scratch NDR PAS inherits both its compact dimensions (250 x 140 mm) and the Multi Sector System: distinct mapped zones, each with specific functions and characteristics tailored for XC and Marathon disciplines.
The two rear-lateral sections are engineered to offer greater stability and comfort when pedaling in a rearward position during long climbs. The variable-density foam is 3 mm thicker in the rear to provide maximum support, while the smooth cover makes it easier to slide off the saddle.
The innovative front-central section is specifically designed to handle steep and technical climbs, featuring a wide, flat surface that offers a stable support base, even when pedaling on the saddle nose. This section is covered with a Grip Cover featuring a horizontal texture that maximizes grip and helps the rider maintain a forward position in the saddle.
For performance-oriented riders seeking a rigid, ultra-light saddle, the Scratch NDR PAS is available with a long-fiber carbon base and Nack rails (Nano Carbon Fiber), made from carbon fiber, Kevlar, and aluminum filaments. For those prioritizing comfort, there’s also a version with an injected carbon fiber base and Tirox rails (light alloy steel), offering a great balance between weight and strength, with less stiffness and better vibration absorption.
