40+ Years in Burton, 4 Years at Anglesey Road
2025 was our fourth year at our new home on Anglesey Road, and what a year it has been. We are proud of the progress we’ve made and the new directions we’ve taken over the last 12 months. A highlight of the year was the introduction of many new brands, none bigger than TREK Bikes, which has been a great success. TREK sits perfectly alongside our existing premium bike brands, allowing us to offer a truly comprehensive range.
We strongly believe that these brands are the best in the industry, offering great design, innovation, quality, and the right range of bikes to suit all of our customers.

Industry and Local Landscape
As I’m sure many of you will be aware, the bike industry has been really tough in recent years. We have seen manufacturers such as GT Bikes, YT, and Nukeproof disappear, plus many UK distributors have closed their doors. The biggest impact has certainly been on retailers, and it is sad to see so many great independent bike shops close, including several in our local area, all unable to survive the current crisis.
Our Commitment and Future Plans
Cycling 2000 continues to be a family-owned business, proudly standing as the only local independent bike shop in the area. We are fighting hard to ensure we are here for many years to come, offering great products, competitive prices, and dedicated service. Cycling 2000 is your local official Shimano Service Centre.
We are confident we will succeed and have some great plans for 2026 and beyond to continue serving the cycling community. Thank you for your continued support.

Triathlon at C2K
As the popularity of Triathlon continues to grow once again we have some big plans to add some of the biggest triathlon brands to the store with the usual C2K service to match.
Argon 18
Our existing brands (Scott, TREK and Orbea) already offer some great Tri bikes and we are looking to bring back Argon 18 to that list. We sold Argon 18 for a number of years until they left the Uk but they are now back and one of the most popular Tri Bike brands around.
ORCA
To fulfill the swimming element of triathlon we have chosen the very best brand in wetsuits, tri suits and every swimming and training aid you need. Orca is coming early 2026. Check out Orca
COROS
To add to our range of Garmin products we have introduced Coros, a super popular selection of Smart Watches designed specifically for Swimming and Running. The brand new Pace 4 launches soon.
