As the price of Smart Trainers have continued to come down there is little demand for the simple wheel on trainers, however they are great value and we still have 2 available, the Novo Force from Elite at £149 and the Mag Ride 40 from Minoura at £134.
Smart Trainers are now by far the most popular way to train and make indoor training way more fun utilizing Apps such as Rouvy and Zwift. Two brand new trainers are now available at just £499. The Wahoo KICKR Core 2 and the Elite Rivo.
Both trainers have integrated Bluetooth and Wifi, high accuracy, great stability and can be used with the Zwift Cog or traditional cassette. For everyday indoor training these 2 are perfect and great value.
The Zwift Cog simplifies setup and ensures broad compatibility with 8 to 12-speed bikes, with no derailleur adjustment needed. The Cog is removable, allowing you to install a standard 9 to 12-speed cassette and use the trainer with all other apps.
The Zwift Click, which mounts to any handlebar, lets you control resistance and shift through 24 virtual gears.
Rollers are still popular but the big growth has been seen in Smart Bikes (or Smart Frames) such as the Elite Square which enables multiple people to train using there preferred sizing and gear set up.
