The focus of the class is to work on hip\, trunk and lower back mobility\, to achieve a more comfortable and aerodynamic position on the bike. The session will also develop lower limb and core strength to improve overall power on the bike. Attending the session will aid recovery from training sessions and rides\, also enhance breath control and lung expansion. As this is an all levels class\, previous yoga experience is not required. The session can also benefit runners and triathletes alike. \n\n\n\nInstructions\n\nPlease bring your own mat as they are not provided. Ensure to wear comfortable clothing to move around freely. This promises to be a cycling experience you’ll never forget while supporting your local hospice. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the ride \nCycling from London to Paris is one of the greatest cycling experiences in Europe. After passing through picturesque Kent countryside\, you’ll cross the Channel and continue through the small villages and medieval market towns of Northern France. There’ll be long days in the saddle and some strenuous hill-climbs but the sight of the Eiffel Tower\, our finishing point\, will give you a real sense of achievement. The last day in Paris allows everyone to explore the sights and soak up the atmosphere of France’s capital city. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nPayment options:  \n1. Fundraising: £99 registration fee\, minimum sponsorship £1\,800\, payable 10 weeks before departure date \n2. Part-payment: £99 registration fee\, pay £250 to Discover Adventure and raise £1\,300 sponsorship\, payable 10 weeks before departure date \n3. We will have the new Compact NEO\, Moterra NEO\, Cargowagon and the 2024 SuperSix Evo. \nOrbea – will be here with a great range of demo bikes including a Rise and a Wild. Take the opportunity to test ride the 2 best eMountain Bikes on the market plus the Gain and brand new Diem. \nGT Bikes – will be here with their new Full Suspension Zaskar\, Stomper and plus the new Carbon Gravel range and of course GT BMX. \nYOMO – Yomo is a brand new range of lightweight kids and junior bikes\, the team will be here to talk you through the line up and offe demo rides. \nGarmin / Tacx – some of the best training tech on the market\, come and chat all things Garmin and test the last turbo trainers from Tacx. \nFROG Bikes – a great opportunity for the kids to test ride a range of Frog bikes. We will have a range of hybrid and first pedal bike sizes plus Frog road bikes to ride around a course. All children will need to be supervised and bring their own helmets. \nMuc-Off – visit us on the day to learn more about how to maintain and clean your bike and collect a selection of FREE sample products to try. \nSCOTT Bikes – presenting their range of bikes and accessories. \nLake Shoes – Lauren will be here from Lake to show you the range of some of the best cycling shoes on the market and offer shoe sizing and fitting service. Shoe sizing will operate on an appointment basis on the day. \nMAVIC – we will have a big range of 2024 wheels here to see. \nAltura – The Spring/Summer range of clothing will be out\, a great chance to see the full range and talk directly to representatives from Altura. \nSupacaz\, Deity confirmed – will be here to show you some of the best accessories for road and mountain \nBASSO – Between 17th – 24th we will have an Astra\, Venta\, Palta and Diamante for you to test ride\, please contact paul@cycling2000.co.uk to book confirming the bike and date you would like to ride. \nEveryone that attends on the day will be entered into a prize draw to win a huge prize\, details nearer the time. DESCRIPTION:Ride Overview \nA spring gravel classic in the Peaks taking in the heart of this stunning region. \nStarting in Buxton\, we take on the best gravel in the Peaks with glorious views in all directions as we head east to Bakewell & then south to the edge of the Peaks. \nUnlike most of the road & MTB routes through this region\, this ride is (relatively) flat / rolling with just over 1\,000m elevation on the 100km long course. The gravel is well maintained and smooth so it’s suitable for riders of all abilities & experience. A great way to see one of the UK’s most beautiful regions. \nHighlights\nEpic rail to gravel trails throughout the route\nGet off the beaten track and ride over rolling hills\, passed abandoned stations and remote villages in the stunning Peak District.\nUnlike most rides in this region\, the terrain is relatively flat / rolling so it’s suitable for most riders. \nIncluded in Entry \nFully Signed Route\nOur team work tirelessly to create the best gravel routes in the UK. All courses are fully signed so you can just enjoy the ride. \nCheckpoints with Proper Food\nAn epic ride deserves proper support. We have tea\, coffee and cake at the first feed and sandwiches & crisps at the main feed. Checkpoints are approx every 30 – 35km \nAccurate GPX Files\nA few days before the ride\, we will send GPX files for all of the route options so you can follow the course on your GPS as well as the signs. \nMechanics Available\nAt the rider village & at selected feed stops we have mechanics available to help with any bike issues.
