Perfectionism, quality and handmade excellence, is the philosophy that Alcide Basso has imposed on itself since 1977, the year Cicli Basso was founded. The principles that define the brand remain unchanged: Excellent craftsmanship, innovative design, functionality, and top quality materials and still handmade in Italy.
Each Basso bike, every shape of its construction, every angle of its geometry and every single tube that makes up the frame are the result of research and development together with highly specialized technicians. It’s not about producing the lightest or most aerodynamic bike but about combining these characteristics to create an inspiring high-performance riding experience.
While there may be hundreds of brands and thousands of models bicycle frames are not all created equally. For too many, simply passing safety controls and looking cutting edge is enough to consider a product ready for sale. Basso believe that the frame is an extension of the cyclist and as such it must be made to a higher standard. Venta Disc
The Venta is handmade by Basso with the same attention to quality and detail used to make the most premium frames in the range, the Venta represents a fantastic value proposition. A more relaxed geometry gives additional comfort to the carbon layup. 2023 Astra Disc
The Astra one of the most popular models as it is designed to offer the same high quality and performance as every other Basso but with the versatility for every type of rider and terrain. The brand new 2023 Astra maintains its vocation for road cycling, but the attention to detail has made it less nervous and more comfortable. Light but without pushing the carbon of the frame to the extreme (which weighs about 980 g), it adopts Basso’s high-profile technological solutions. Check out the range.
The 35 mm tire clearance allows you to mount wider tires and venture beyond the tarmac on light dirt roads. The integrated cables with Paradigma technology and the All Road handlebar by Microtech increase safety and comfort, while maintaining clean aesthetics. A really classy and versatile bike.
Astra’s geometry is the most “Basso” of all, derived from the steel models. A platform improved year after year, preserving the racing DNA but making it transversal and able to adapt to those who are not an athlete who ride bikes every day.

While improving upon past success is never easy, taking an award-winning and universally lauded platform and making it not only faster but better proved to be a herculean task. Basso, thanks to its competitive nature and desire to evolve, enjoyed the challenge and the end result demonstrates the effort, attention to detail and passion that went into this project. A perfect blend of carryover tech and new design make for a better, best Basso.

Palta Gravel
The proof that adventure can be competitive, that performance doesn’t require a race number, that exploration is better with adrenaline and speed…Comes in the form of Palta, a very fast gravel bike.
Tire clearence up to 45 mm tires with 700c wheels. Top tube hidden bolts to accommodate compatible bags. 3 different bottle cage positions: 2 on the downtube and 1 on the seat tube
The downtube also features a plastic protection that can be fitted when riding on rough gravel. Palta is compatible with both 2x and 1x electronic and mechanical groupsets, both gravel and road (up to 52-36 chain rings).
