Firstly the Staffordshire Air Ambulance, £2.4 million needs to be raised to keep it in the air, last year we donated a bike for their big raffle, (see photo of Iris, Nigel and Sandra on “about us” page) this year they are holding a big fun day at Belvere park, Burton on Trent, The Air Ambulance will be there. There will be stalls tom bolas, entertainers, etc,. and of course the club house will be open for refreshments throughout the day, The celebrity opening the event is still to be announced but knowing Iris it should be good. If you would like to support this good cause please let us know Secondly Our local Firemen have done a 140 mile Coast to Coast ride on 24th to 26th April from Whitehaven to Sunderland in aid of the Fire Services National Benevolent fund and the Bobby Moore Cancer Research Fund. All monies raised will be split 50/50. They have raised a total of £1400.00 Well done to Gavin, Simon, Jon, Keith and Paul(pictures to follow) We supplied them with energy drinks bars, bottles tubes etc;.
